የታሰበውን ፕሮጀክት አዲስ መንገድን እስከ ጠጠር መንገድ ደረጃ ድረስ እየገነባ ነው ፡፡ መንገዱ ለኮንትራት I, II እና III ሲሰራ ከዋዩ እስከ 130 ኪ.ሜ የሚደርስ የ 130 ኪ.ሜ ርዝመት ያለውን ነባር መንገድ እና በተለይም በፊንቻአ በኩል ወደ ጌዴዎ በሚወስደው መንገድ ከካይኒ ዳላሲ የሚገኘውን የአሁኑን የ 145 ኪ.ሜ.-ጌዴኦ-እስከ 40 ኪ.ሜ ርዝመት ያለው ጉደር ፡፡ በተጨማሪም በታቀደው መስመር እና ቀደም ሲል በማምረት ላይ የሚገኙትን አዳዲስ አካባቢዎች ይበልጥ የተጠናከረ እና ቀልጣፋ ልማት ያነቃቃል ፡፡ መንገዱ የሚያልፍባቸው ሌሎች ማህበራዊ አገልግሎቶች እንዲስፋፉ የሚያስችላቸውን መንገዶች ይከፍታል ፡፡

Contract II (Km33+000-66+000) DS6 Road Project

General

Guder-Qanyi-Dalasi-Balami-Goda Arab-Wayu: Contract II (Km33+000-66+000) DS6 Road

Project is located in Oromia National Regional State in West Shoea and Horo Guduru Zones.

The road starts 33km away from Guder Town, administrative centre of Toke Kutaye Woreda in West Shoa Zone and ends at Wayu Town, administrative centre of Jimma Rare Woreda in Horo Guduru Zone. Guder Town is located at 121 Km West of Addis Ababa on Addis – Nekemte main Highway, and 12km west of Ambo town (administrative centre of the West Shoa Zone). The project road directs to the North-West direction towards Qanyi Dalasi, Balami, Goda Arba and ends at Wayu Town.

The proposed project is constructing of new road to gravel road standard. The road when constructed for Contract I, II, and III will shorten the existing road of length of about 130Km from Wayu to about 78 Km, and specifically the current 145Km road from Qanyi Dalasi to reach Guder on the way to Gedo via Fincha’a – Gedo – Guder to such length of 40km. It will also stimulate a more intensive and efficient development of new areas along the proposed route and of those already under production. It, further, paves ways for expansion of other social services through which the road passes.
